Avenged Sevenfold are an awesome rock/metal band that offer music which is quite heavy and very creative, the songs are often quite long but will never bore you which shows their quality. Avenged Sevenfold formed when they were 18 years old and still at school and their first album was Sounding the Seventh Trumpet which was followed by Waking the Falling. Then there was City of Evil which has less of the screaming vocals but is still heavy and has some amazing songs such as Beast And The Harlot and Bat Country.
